Dear Guest
At Molesworth Manor we are committed to making our business more sustainable and have introduced a range of policies to reduce our environmental impact. In recognition of our efforts we have been awarded a Green Business Tourism Scheme Silver Award.
- We separate and recycle newspapers, office paper, organic waste, cardboard, glass, batteries and light bulbs and have an ongoing target to divert 70% of our waste from landfill to recycling.
- In order to cut down on air and road miles and support Cornish suppliers, we aim to ‘buy local’ as much as possible. 61% of your breakfast ingredients have been purchased in Cornwall. As far as possible, we try and source seasonal fruit and vegetables in the county.
- We have installed a new efficient boiler system to cut down our carbon dioxide emissions
- We only use the most environmentally acceptable cleaning products from which phospates (harmful to aquatic life) have been eliminated and packaging is minimised.
- We are actively pursuing the reduction of water usage in our bedrooms and washrooms.
Please help us to protect our environment.
Here are some ways in which you can help.
- Do not leave taps running unnecessarily.
- Turn off the lights when leaving your room.
- Leave your newspapers and bottles aside for recycling or use the recycling points on the ground floor (in the cloakroom and outside the Breakfast Room).
- Place used towels in the bath if you require them to be replaced, if not, please leave them hanging on the rail.
Please let us have your comments or suggestions.
Please also advise if anything in your room needs to be repaired or replaced.
