Molesworth Manor is a licensed guesthouse in a former rectory dating from the early 17th Century. It is situated in an attractive garden, 2 miles from the pretty fishing port of Padstow, and provides comfortable relaxed accommodation with a warm and friendly atmosphere. It has been awarded four diamonds by the English Tourism Council and is featured in the the Michelin Guide, the Good Hotel Guide and Alistair Sawdays British Bed & Breakfast Guide.
Molesworth Manor is conveniently located for a wide range of activities and attractions. For the actively minded, golfing, sailing, surfing, horse riding, fishing, walking and cycling along the Camel Trail are all available in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Other attractions include sandy beaches, the Eden Project, and the lost Gardens of Heligan. The surrounding area also has excellent restaurants. bistros and pubs. All the rooms are centrally heated and enjoy splendid views of open countryside. Guests may relax in the drawing room, the library or the T.V. morning room all of which have open fires in the colder weather. The T.V. morning room is equipped with a flat widescreen T.V. which can be booked for viewing films or training DVDs for conferences as well as normal tv viewing. We now have flat screen TVs with built in DVD player and FreeView in every room.
Ample parking is provided.
We are a family run business and we have 2 young children of our own. We are child friendly and appreciate the challenges (both economically and logistically) of travelling with children. To help economically we endeavour to accommodate children as reasonably as possible using travel cots,extra beds and also special room rates.We also have a garden and play area that guests children are welcome to use, usually with two extra playmates!
Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis, with breakfast consisting of a full English breakfast every day plus a daily special, a variety of fruits, fruit juices, cereals, yoghurts, hams, cheeses and toasts, jams and delicious homemade marmalade.
Molesworth Manor is licensed and provides a selection of wines, spirits and beers which can be enjoyed in the house or the grounds.
Please note: Guests are asked to refrain from smoking whilst in the house.
Molesworth Manor is open to guests between February and October, and by arrangement during the remaining months of the year. It is possible to book the entire Manor for conferences, weddings, and special occasions. We also have free wi-fi plus a computer terminal for the exclusive use of guests.
